Description :

Day 1: Casablanca, Rabat

Our driver will pick you up at Casablanca airport “Mohamed V” to start your fantastic journey! We will first visit the Great Mosque of Hassan II (except on Fridays as it is the day of the prayer for Muslims) and the superb corniche “Aïn Diab” of the city that borders the sea. Later, we will drive to Rabat; Capital of Morocco and residence of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. We spend the night there in a hotel or Riad.

 

Day 2: Rabat, Chawen

After breakfast, we will meet our driver to explore the famous Hassan Tower and the tomb of former King Mohammed V, then we will leave for Chawen, known for sugar industries.After exploring the villages of the Rif, we arrive at wazzan, a city famous for its clothes and the excellence of its traditional products such as djellaba, and olive oil. In the early afternoon, we will be in the beautiful blue city of Chaoun where our driver will take us to our nice Riad, before accompanying us for a delicious lunch. Then we shall enjoy the splendid open views, and visit this town of Chefchaouen which is very quiet, with its small hammams and its parks, before going to rest for the night

 

Day 3: Chefchaouen, Volubilis, Moulay Idriss, Meknes, Fez

We will find our Anglophone or Francophone driver guide to return to wazzan, and a few kilometers further we will arrive at the fabulous Roman ruins of Volubilis, which our guide will show us the history of this oldest Roman city in Morocco. Then we go for lunch at Moulay Idriss. In Meknes, we will visit the tomb of King Moulay Ismail, ancient dungeons of the city. We will also visit the stables of the royal horses (sahrij swani) and the large pool of water, in the absence of rain obviously. After a short visit of Meknes on foot, to see the ancient place and the medina, we continue our trip to our typical accommodation in Fes for the night.

 

Day 4: A day in Fez

After breakfast, there is time to visit the beautiful imperial city of Fez, with its historical monuments and sites:

The door of the Royal Palace, the old Jewish quarter, the oldest university of Morocco “Al Qarawiyyin “, mosaic makers, souks and markets, the Madrassa (Koranic school), and the medina. The evening break will be at the same town (Fez).

 

Day 5: Fez, Ifrane, Midelt, Erfoud, Merzouga (Erg Chebbi)

At 8 o’clock and after breakfast, we leave Fez toward the Geneva of Morocco Ifrane, and on the way we will discover the magic Middle Atlas Mountains. A stop will be in Azrou to see the monkeys in the oldest and famous cedar forests of Morocco. Then, we drive to Middelt, along the magnificent hills and mountains of the Atlas, through the fascinating Tizin, Talghamt and the Ziz Valley, to enjoy breatickin views. Then we will continue towards Merzouga through the valley and its gigantic date palms. We will make stops to take pictures, before arriving at Erfoud or Rissani. Arriving at the dunes of Merzouga, a glass of mint tea will await us, before our camel ride to enjoy the marvelous sunset on the top of Erg Chebbi dunes. We will dine at the sounds of local music, before admiring a starry night under a typical Berber tent.

 

Day 6: Merzouga, Erg Chebbi and surroundings

In the early morning, we will start the camel ride to welcome the unforgettable sunrise.Afterwards, we will go to the hostel for breakfast and refresh ourselves, before heading back to the Moroccan countryside where you will meet the locals and have lunch with them. In the afternoon, we will be back to our accommodation to rest and spend the night.

 

Day 7: Todgha and Dades Gorges, roses valley, Ouarzazate

After breakfast, we will drive to Todgha Gorges, where we will have lunch via the towns of Erfoud Tinjdad. We will visit the fabulous Canyons, gardens and rivers. We will continue towards Dades and its magical mountains, through the road of 1000 kasbahs, towards the town of Kaala M’gouna; Famous for its annual roses festival in May. A visit to a typical Kasbah of Amridil in Skoura oasis just before the evening break at Ouarzazate for the night.

 

Day 8: Ouarzazate,High Atlas Mountains,Marrakech.

We will start the morning discovering the mythical studios of cinema ”Alas studios”, Visit the Moroccan South Pearl, the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, the fortified Kasbah which is part of UNESCO’s heritage site ,where numerous films have been shooted, such as “Gladiator” “ Laurence of Arabia” “Asterix & Obelix”. We will then go to the kasbah to meet the Berber inhabitants to share a mint tea and talk about the legend of the kasbah. On the way back to Marrakech, we will drive via the Tichka Pass which culminates at 2260 m altitude above the sea level with typical villages hanging on the mountains. After lunch, there is time to enjoy and discover the Zat valley before driving to our hotel or riad at Marrakech

 

Day 9: Discovering the medina of Marrakech

We will spend the day visiting the beautiful sites and historical monuments of the ocher city, such as the Jamaa El Fna, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with its many activities and folklore; The Koutoubia mosque; The legendary palace Bahia; The magnificent gardens of Majorelle; The Saadian tombs; The former Koranic school, the Madrasa of Ben Youssef; And of course many souks, where our guide will accompany us in order to negotiate the best rates. Meanwhile, our guide will take us to taste the local specialties, as one of the many delicious tajines in a typical restaurant for lunch. During the day, we will have the chance to discover the history of Marrakech and its wonders, and why not, we may desire to bring back some souvenirs of local crafts, such as spices, embroidered slippers or pretty sculpted objects.

 

Day 10: Drop off at the airport of Marrakech

It is already the end of the trip, so we will take you back to the airport “Almanara” at Marrakech, thanking you for trusting us, and hoping that your circuit has delighted you, and that you will return home with wonderful images and memories Full head!
