Excursion 1 Day At Ksar Ait Ben Haddou

At 8am, our guide-driver will pick us up from our Riad, then it will be the departure. After 1 hour drive, we will arrive in a small Berber paradise located at the heart of the High Atlas; the the Zat valley. After 1 hour break to admire the wadi, the small villages hanging on the mountain and the fig trees, we will head the road again. At the inhabitant, we shall sip a delicious mint tea before passing the Tichka Pass, over 2260 m above sea level. There will be stops for pictures of the beautiful landscapes, then to the valley of Ounila, where a delicious traditional lunch at Ksar Ait Ben Haddou will be served. This fortified city dating back more than 1000 years, where many films have been filmed such as ”Gladiator” ”Game of the throne” “Lawrence of Arabia”, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is located along the old caravan route. Then our guide will take us on a tour of the Kasbah in order to drink a mint tea with the villagers before heading back to Marrakech.
